“I love the simplicity of this painting. I can really relate to it, and it’s very similar to paintings I did myself about a year ago. I’ve never been to the Queen Charlottes, but I know I would love them. This painting conveys the peaceful storminess of the ocean and the mountains and islands. When I look at the painting, it makes me think that I should be inside and all snuggled up waiting for the rain to come.”
