Behind the Scenes at the Gallery

Join us for Spring Break Camps at the Gallery from March 14 to 18, 2022, to get a special behind-the-scenes look at everything it takes to create an art exhibition!
Ever wondered how art gets installed at the Gallery? Or wanted a glimpse inside the Conservation Lab where artworks are preserved? Campers will have the opportunity to tour the exhibitions with our team of Art Educators, go behind the scenes with our Conservation and Museum Services staff, and enjoy a look into the secret lives of the artworks when they are not on display!
Each day will be filled with in-gallery activities, outdoor movement and hands-on studio time. At the end of the week, we will use what we’ve learned to create our own exhibition at the Vancouver Art Gallery together. Don’t miss the Spring Break Camp Exhibition Opening on Friday, March 18 from 3:30 to 5:30 PM!

Campers will be split into two groups: ages 6 to 8 and ages 9 to 12. Capacity is limited to 15 participants per group.
Registration Cost for Full-Day Camp: $350 for Gallery Members | $400 for Non-Members
OPTIONAL ADD-ONS
LUNCH MEAL PLAN FROM 1931 GALLERY BISTRO
We’ve partnered with 1931 Gallery Bistro to offer a health-focused, nut-free meal plan, including two snacks and a hot lunch, served daily for an additional cost of $100 for the week.
*Please note that we cannot accommodate dietary restrictions or modifications to this menu at this time.
BEFORE- AND AFTER-CAMP CARE
Camps will run from 9 AM to 3 PM from March 14 to 18. For an additional $75 for the week, before- and after-camp supervision services will be available from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM.
