Art Rental & Sales, operated by the Vancouver Art Gallery, is pleased to present an artist talk with Featured Artist Karl Mata Hipol on Friday, April 11 at 6 PM in the AR&S Showroom.
In his AR&S showcase Archival Abloom, Hipol presents a new series of works that delves into the realm of archival photography, drawing from museum collections to unearth the gaps and erasures of Filipino representation within mainstream art institutions.
By cross-pollinating archival materials with personal and cultural memory, Hipol engages in a broader conversation on decolonizing museums and diversifying historical narratives to allow marginalized voices to flourish.

Located on the 1st Floor of the Gallery, the AR&S Showroom is open Monday to Friday from 10 AM to 5 PM.
